It’s quite difficult to find a good reliable bra that’s good for your back and posture in many places in the world, what are your favorites?
What makes out a great Bra to you?
What makes a terrible one?

Tips for places/websites to buy from highly recommended

Vast majority of people can just go to a Victoria’s Secret, get measured and buy one of their bras. It will fit and you will finally know your size, it won’t change that much when you shop other brands.

Yes but how about bigger breasted women?

Do any of y'all have an uncommon size? I'm a 32D and it's impossible to find my size in stores. I always end up having to get my sister size (34C) which doesn't fit perfectly but it's better than nothing

I know this thread is maybe more for large-breasted women who are more likely to have difficulties with finding a good bra, but if there are any anons with small breasts who hate conventional bras but can't go completely braless for one reason or another, I'd recommend elastic sports tops. They're a kind of sports bra but without any extra support, meaning they come a lot cheaper than proper sports bras. I've worn this type of tops exclusively since I was about 14, I don't know my breast size but it used to be something like 80AA (EU) (yeah I have a wide ribcage) Nowadays I get mine from the army surplus store, kek I know, but they have the cheapest prices. The only downside is that people sometimes mistaken it for a binder and think I'm a TIF, when the compression a top of this type provides is just enough to keep my breasts from moving, not to actually flatten.

I’ve gone up to a 32DD and I can’t find anything in stores.

I used to wear something like that when I was a teen too, might go back at it. I have small breasts and all my sports bra suck. I have two different sizes (s and m) and one fits me around the ribs but the breast area… I could put an entire circus in there, there is just so much space. The other one is smaller and while it fits my breasts perfectly, it kills my back, it's too small. I am so tired, already gave up normal bras cus I can't find anything that fits right and is cheap, and the sizes are so weird even when they are letter sizes.

I have small boobs so I don't have problems with my back etc. My real problem is this shit, the edges of the cup showing through whatever I'm wearing. I'm always coping with layering extra things underneath or over. I've carefully measured myself and ordered bras from different brands based, but nope. I wonder if it's because I'm right on the very edge of two cup sizes?

I don't trust lingerie stores because they will sell you a "sister size" if they don't stock your size.

When I switched to thinner underwire bras made of lace or just thin fabric I stopped having this problem. Also wearing real shirts helps, not cheap thin stretch fast fashion.

>thinner underwire bras made of lace or just thin fabric I
Ones with cups or are you talking about wired bralettes? I have wire-free bralettes but I can't wear them outside my home because my nipples show through and make my boobs look droopy, I want some shape.

>real tshirts

What makes a tshirt real? I used to think polyester was the problem but then I got several 100% cotton shirts and still had the same problem with all but one.

A tshirt is an undershirt, not a real shirt. Since you asked. Sorry to derail the bra discussion.
I mean an underwire bra with absolutely no padding, a cup that doesn’t hold its shape on its own except the wire part, picrel. Some lace is stiff and keeps your nipple from showing through without being bulky, that’s my favorite type; thin plain fabric will generally not conceal nipples but I still have some because they’re comfortable to me. Steering clear of demicups entirely also helps a lot.

I tried that A bra that fits calculator and it gave me a 32DD UK/70F EU bra size and I thought there's no way that could be right because that is (sounds?) fucking HUGE and my chest is small, but this instagram (https://www.instagram.com/theirishbralady/) shows pictures of properly fitted bras and.. yeah that looks to be about my boob size. Could it really be?

I’m the exact same boat, went up to a D Cup and even that was too small. I’m pretty sure I’m a DD now but because of the way my breasts sit they don’t feel that big. My chest looks very similar to the ones on that post too.

>What makes out a great Bra to you?
One without uncomfortable wiring, preferably none at all
>What makes a terrible one?
I dont know what the fabric’s name is, but I hate that cheap feeling synthetic fabric. It feels like it will fall apart in under a new wash, its so thin. I have noticed that this fabric is becoming more common in bras and underwear

I asked in the stupid questions thread on ot, but only one person answered and it was "just go braless". Like yes I could but I don't feel comfortable going out in public braless. Anyway, I'm about a 34B at mainstream stores but I don't think that's quite the right fit since the band feels too tight while riding up my back and the cups have big gaps in them. My question is, is it worth it for someone with smaller breasts like me to get professionally fitted? Money isn't a concern but I do know that good bras are pretty costly.

its so worth it, good bras improve your posture, and the way all your clothing fits, even buying one is very worth it. i personally either buy very old fashioned king of bras with a full underwire and a full cup from thrift stores or buy really expensive properly fitted ones

these 'shapewear' bralette's are life changing, i have around a g cup and they are very supportive, this one is from skims but these types of bras are very common in any shapewear section of most stores, the more ruching in the middle the better. sometimes they come with pads that i always take out, also have found them on asian shopping websites, alixpress etc.

yup its true! i had the same result and then went to a private bra fitter IRL and she confirmed it. cup sizes are very misunderstood. i went from thinking i was a 32A but I was actually a 30E/DD . my chest is 'small' but its about the back/shoulders too.

>What makes out a great Bra to you?
One that actually fits me. I’m a 28D. I’ve resigned to wearing 30C but even then it’s hard to find my size. It’s even harder for me to find a sports bra that is cheap and fits because they tend to be “one size fits all” and will fit my bust but be too tight on cup size. If a bra fits then I’m happy.
>What makes a terrible one?
Gapping. I hate when there’s gapping at the top, it feels weird and uncomfortable. Wearing demi-bras sort of helped with that.

people just honestly have retarded idea of what D cup etc is. basically cup size comes from the under breast measurement's and over the breast measurement's difference. like if the difference is X inches then the cup size is 20Y etc. it's not that deep. A, B, C, D etc just mark how big the difference between underbreast and overbreast measurement, like A cup has less inches between the measurements and D more inches. it's not about A cup being small or D big, A cup on a fatter woman will be bigger than D cup on a skinny woman.

I'm not quite small enough to go braless, but I don't need a lot of support and I've basically been living 24/7 in uniqlo bra tops. The airism material is magical

god, okay, so i’m busty with a small band size, and i struggle to find comfortable bras that aren’t insanely expensive. i like freya (i wear a us 30g/uk 30f in their bras, but i may be able to wear a 32. i’m kind of in between band sizes), but freya is so expensive and i’m in college and can’t afford another one atm. i also have an aerie bra that my friend found in the clearance section. it’s not very comfortable; the band feels a little big, even on the smallest hook (it’s a 32ddd), and it has molded cups, which are kind of a no-no for big boobs imo. i’d love some suggestions for normal bras, as well as high impact sports bras, as i am involved in a high impact sport, and only have one bra for that atm.

I'm the same nona (30E/28F). Have you tried the website https://us.brastop.com/ (if you are in the US)? I really like Fantasie, especially the Rebecca bra. Natori is also good for t-shirt bras. You can also check at outlet stores like Nordstrom rack, I found some Natori bras there. I only have one sports bra I like unconditionally, a cross-back from Brooks Running, and it was insanely expensive at the time (maybe the prices are different now - it cost me $65 or something). I have some others from Nike, Adidas, and H&M, they are not as good but I still use them.

For days when I am doing low-impact exercise, I like these bras that are cut out in the back. There are a million knock offs on amazon, all are the same. They work well and are cute. I have both S and M sizes, I can't tell the difference really.

I tried to shop for bras again while ago and it was terrible experience as I couldn't find anything in A/B cup, most stores had C as smallest size. I'm glad this thread exists as I'm looking for lighter bra without underwire, A/B cup sizes available and something that is available in Eastern Europe. Bonus points if it has detachable straps as I desperately need a bra to wear with sphagetti strap dresses. I have quite few that I can't wear without a bra unfortunately

An A cup can be bigger than a D cup, its all about the cup size relative to the band size. I am a D and I have tiny tits, bc I also have a narrow rib cage

No. 400885

>>400880
Also a D cup with small tits. Most people would probably guess I'm a large B or a small C, but all being a D cup means is there's a four inch difference between your bust and underbust

No. 401004

>>400885
I don't know what my tit shape is but there's a lot of projection underneath, like you i think, but the cup isn't particularly full. borderline triangular…like trigonometry titties? i just don't wear bras anymore. if i knew the name for this phenomena i would be happy lol because at some point i will have to find a bra

Is there anywhere that sells modern bullet bras? I don’t want an actual bullet bra, but one that is more modern looking. My issue is that my breasts stick out far but they are not round at the top so that creates gaps in bras that are supposed to be made for my bust size. I have an 8 inch difference between my bust and ribcage and the calculations I’m getting from abrathatfits calculator seem way too big to fit me, and the size is not very common and I can’t afford to spend money on a bra in that size. I’ve been using bras that fit the top of my boobs but it’s way too tight for the rest of them and it’s legitimately giving me backaches and making it difficult to breathe. Has anyone trusted the calculation you got or should I size down?
